Feel your inner wings and join the eagle eyes at the Southeastern Raptor Center today at 4:00 p.m..This will be the final birds-in-flight raptor program, helping to kick off the final HOME football game of the season.
Football, Fans & Feathers has been hosting these educational programs before our HOME games, letting visitors get a close-up view of hawks, falcons and eagles, free-flying from flight towers.
Join us TODAY at the 350-seat Edgar B. Carter Educational Amphitheater on Raptor Road off Shug Jordan Parkway. Raptor Road is a dirt road with red gate off Shug Jordan Parkway just north of the Wire Road intersection.
Tickets available at entrance $5 and $3.
These raptor birds have been rehabilitated from injuries in the wild or human imprinting, and are permanent residents here...which makes them Auburn Tiger fans.... WAR EAGLE!!!

Hi Mara! I bet this will be wonderful! Are you going to be able to go and take some pictures?
Hi Mara! I guess you're there and snapping lots of photos! Go Bama!
This event sounds so interesting Mara. Maybe you will follow up with some photos for us all if you went.
Ann - Debe - Gary - THANK YOU for stopping by! You guys are the best! My phone doesn't take such good pics, and my GOOD cam needs a repair that's nearly the cost of a new one...so, I'm just trying to be patient on a bridge of change and rearrangement :-)
WAR EAGLE from the Jordan-Hare Stadium!!!!!
Hi Mara:
What a wonderful program.
That must be awesome to see those birds up close.
Hi Mara,The Raptor program sounds really interesting. Before I read that they were permanent residents, I wondered why they didn't just fly away :-) I used to work with a young woman who worked with raptors, I always enjoyed her stories about the birds. Hope your week is going well, Mara!
Mara -
I love to see an eagle cured.
I love to see an eagle fly.
But just as much:
I LOVE MY DUCKS!
Are you flying to Arizona?
Go Ducks!
