Tristan, Rebecca and Hilary Hawks...sands of time...the bottom photo was bird pecked in the right corner by one of Hilary's birds...she always had birds at home...and walking around the house!
Mara: Love the black and white photos. They are gorgeous. I see the last one's got a bit of tint to it. Neat.
Mara...Great Photos..I can almost smell the salt air...Love it!!!
HelpfulHannah your Friend in Philadelphia!
Nice.......I like the different poses at the beach. I was wondering about the "pecking" on the last photo, now it really looks like Alfred Hitchock's "the Birds" :)
Awesome pics!
Hi Mara, They are beautiful photos, and I have wonder why Hilary's bird picked THAT photo to peck on!? LOL!!
Chris - thanks for stopping by this sandy place today!
Hannah - Oh I love that fish! :-)
Kathy - I need to dig up the negative for that last one and reprint. I used to be so afraid of birds because of the AH movie too...
Jared - Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
Mary - LOL! I thought it was an odd pick, too!
There is definitely going to be a Mara Hawks black and white photo exhibit somewhere sometime. And I am going to pay top dollar to be first in the door. Mara, the bird with the outstretched wings over the beach I think you caught at the right moment but all three are exhibition worthy. I'm telling you this could be your key to the big time. The famous photographer Mara Hawks exhibit June 1-15 in Chicago. Native Midwestern returns to the Windy City to show the brilliance of her photographer's eye.
Mara, I love your three images of Tristan, Rebecca and Hilary at the beach that you captured in black and white. Stunning:)
Mara - love the black and white, and the timeless poses in photos one and two. They look like they are on a west coast beach.
I was wondering what that was in the corner of the bottom picture.....pretty funny! Love the black and whites!
Let me know when the Chicago show starts. I'm there. I love Chicago! LOL
I like the black and white photos. I wish that I can be at the beach right now. But I got work to do. Thanks for sharing your pictures. Great post.
Mara you have the coolest looking photos. I love the black and white!
Mara, the first picture looks like a young John Kennedy! Black and white pictures are always so much more moving. Great photos. xxoo
Mara - I love your photos... They are gorgeous! There is nothing better than Black & White.
