Memorial Day is the day set aside to especially remember these men and women who gave their lives while serving in the military. This day is to commemorate the fallen soldiers whose fight for freedom cost their lives, so that we could live ours freely. Freedom isn’t free at all, but comes with a big price. As we gather with our friends and family this Memorial Day weekend, let’s take the opportunity to remember those who have paid this price, and be grateful for their sacrifice, given for freedom in America.
Flag protocol for Memorial Day: fly at half-mast until noon, then raise to full mast. Always raise briskly and lower ceremoniously.
